MAHASHIVRATRI

The night of Mahashivratri is a night of merger, a night of creation, a night of manifestation, a night to experience poornata and experience Shiv tattva. The word Shiv consists of shav, which means 'a dead body' and I, which is shakti — the force which runs creation. This force needs a vehicle or a body to manifest into, so shav becomes shiv. It is a day when the energy patterns resonate with the energy of Shiv. A powerful night to realise the poorna/infinite within and for manifestation of thought through specific mantras and kriyas as prescribed by ones Guru, and access the infinite force of Shiv. Shivratri celebrations at Dhyan Foundation ashram and centres on 24 Feb, 10pm onwards.  To attend, register at 9911185002/9953754934 Online registeration @  www.dhyanfoundation.com/mahashivratri-yagya.php #Shivratri -  http://www.dhyanfoundation.com/shivratri.php

MAHASHIVRATRI

Nature has its way of providing for balance in this Creation. For every aspect there exists an equal and opposite. Darkness is nothing but absence of Light. Similarly, Silence is nothing but the absence of Sound. It is only the duality in nature, the co-existence of positive and negative that gives meaning to the existence of the whole. What if at any given time, there exists the entire positive and negative? Then the two will balance each other out completely resulting in a shunya, and yet it is poorna or complete. In other words, there would be everything yet nothing. The only form that could fit such a description is the formless – Nirakaar, Para Brahma. This is the swaroop of Shiv.  In the words of Shankaracharya, 'Na Punyam Na Paapam Na Saukhyam Na Dukham Chidananda Rupa Shivoham Shivoham.' What then is the dancing male form, or the half-man-half-woman, or a sadhu clad in loin cloth with body smeared in bhasma? Are Natraj, Ardhnareshwar and Ne...

The balance of the universe is within us all

Nature has its way of preserving balance in Creation. For every aspect, there exists an equal and opposite one. Darkness is nothing but the absence of light. Silence is nothing but the absence of sound. It is only the duality in nature, the coexistence of positive and negative that gives meaning to the existence of the whole. What if at any given time, there exists simultaneously the entire positive and negative? Then the two will balance each other out completely, the net result being shunya or zero. So, there would be everything yet nothing. The only form that could fit such a description is the formless—Nirakaar, Para Brahma. This is the swaroop of Lord Shiv. In the words of Adi Shankaracharya, ‘Na Punyam Na Paapam Na Saukhyam Na Dukham, Chidananda Rupa Shivoham Shivoham.’ What then is the dancing male form, the form of half-man and half-woman, or the sadhu clad in a loincloth with his body smeared in bhasma? Are Natraj, Ardhnareshwar and Neelkanth myths? Let us dwell up...

Pure energy needs an appropriate channel - Yogi Ashwini

Nature has its way of providing balance in Creation. For every aspect, there exists one that is equal and opposite. Darkness is nothing but the absence of light. Similarly, silence is the absence of sound. It is only duality in nature, the coexistence of the positive and the negative, that lends meaning to the whole of existence. If at any given time, there exists the entire gamut of the positive and the negative, the two will balance each other out completely, the net result being shunya or zero. There would be everything, yet nothing. The only thing that could fit such a description is the formless, the Nirakaar or Para Brahmn. This is the swaroop or essence of Shiva. In the words of Shankaracharya: "N a punyam na paapam na saukhyam na dukham, chidananda rupa Shivoham Shivoham" ^ Neither good nor bad, there is no joy or sorrow, only the Universal Presence. What then do we make of Nataraja, the dancing male form, or the half-man half-woman Ardhanareeswara, or the sadhu...
