THE HEALING PRANA - ATTENDING TO CUTS & BRUISES

We often hear the phrase “nazar lag gayi”. Mind you that is not gibberish or mumbo-jumbo. It is true. The entire Creation, everything that exists around us, plants, animals, humans, birds, insects - everything is energy. This energy can neither be created nor destroyed, but it changes form. The form that differentiates one energy from the other is the frequency that it vibrates at. Insects, animals being the grossest frequency while the dimension of the devas being the subtlest. What makes us gross or subtle, is the desires that drive us, the karmas we come with and the karmas we create in this lifetime. And Karma could be a single thought, action, spoken word.  Master Choa Kok Sui rightly said ‘ energy follows thought ’. A thought is as powerful as a physical action. Just like a strong thought of a person, can hit you, unsaid, unseen, unheard! In Yoga, which is a science of life, Spiritual Healing, with the aid of one’s consciousness can alter one’s karmas and heal...

THE HEALING PRANA - BRINGING DOWN FEVER

Spiritual Healing is a potent ancient science, which when done under the guidance of a Guru, in a detached manner gives miraculous results.  In our previous articles, we discussed simple yet powerful techniques of Self –Healing. In this issue I will take you to the next level of Healing, which is, ‘Healing for Others’. It is important to understand here, that like everything in Creation, the ancient science of Spiritual Healing is also based on the ‘Law o f Karma’. When a person is healed, a healer with the aid of the consciousness, connects with the forces of the Creation to effectuate a change in the subject’s body, it therefore becomes important for the subject once healed to give back to Creation what he/she took, by doing service and charity. Otherwise the disease returns.  The process of Healing for others is divided into four parts:  a) Basic Preparation  b) Diagnostic Analysis c) Aided Purification  d) Projection and Rejuvenation B...

The Power of Pink

Every relationship is symbiotic as it is based on give and take. You are in it because you are getting something from the other person and vice-versa. No matter how close a person might be to you, the moment you stop giving or the moment this “give and take” comes to an end, the relationship ceases to exist. The only relationship that is an exception to this rule is that of a mother and a child, that too from the mother’s side and not vice-versa. The mother holds unconditional love for her child and nurtures and raises him/her without expecting anything in return. Every religion gives utmost respect to the mother for she is the creator of creation. She is shakti and, therefore, it makes sense to have every day as the day of the mother — the epitome of unconditional love. If you look at the depiction of a mother in any culture or faith, she will be shown to hold the child against her chest, for that is the seat of unconditional love in a human being. The pranic layer of a hu...

The Cycle of Movement

The inherent tendency of all that is manifest in creation is movement. This is either upwards or downwards, be it in the spiritual world, the commercial or the emotional, of which relationships are a part. Nothing is ever constant. No matter what position you are at in life, or who you are with or how much power and influence you wield, it is never constant. Even  science  tells us that what goes up has to come down. The apple fell on Newton’s head and modern science gave us the law of gravity—the apple was first in a different form, embedded in a seed which is itself in an apple which had gone up before and is now coming down. It is a matter of debate for the modern man—did it go down first or up? The vedic seers call this the cycle of maya which is unending and has emerged from the creator. We spend lifetimes after lifetimes debating on what emerged from what or whom; the debate will never end because its basis is incomplete knowledge of the dynamics of c...

Soul Desire

Pause a moment to think, what is it that brought you to this world. All of us at some point were just a sperm competing with the millions that are produced daily in the human body. The reason why we were born is because we pushed and knocked off the rest of them to come first in the race. This is our basic nature, the reason why we are here - ‘me first’ or simply, selfishness. It is this selfishness that defines everything that we do, including our relationship with people. This is the reason why human relationships do not work out. The reason why you are with someone – be it your friends, parents or spouse is because you want something from them. You are with them only till the time you are getting that from them. As soon as that stops, you will not even look at them. You can try it sometime. The deepest and fondest of relationships come to an end as soon as that give and take is over, and all that remains is grief of what you have lost, what you could have got. You enter and leave...

Prepare To Receive Supreme Energy

Our body is a poorna ansh or integral part of creation that is run by various shaktis or energies. Each day of the 365 days in a year is governed by a specific shakti; hence the  yogsutras  stress the importance of niyam. If you skip your practices for even a single day, then the shakti or energy of that day is left behind and the sadhna or practice of the entire year becomes compromised because if even a single thing is removed from Creation, it will impact everything around. So the niyam of your practices must not be broken. The days leading to Diwali are especially powerful and a sadhak should keep his mind focused for it is said the sadhna of this time is equivalent to the sadhna of many months put together. On the night of Diwali, there is a congregation of powerful energies and their access becomes much simpler than on normal days. While most are busy lighting lamps, eat...

Power in the darkest night

Om tamso maa jyotirgamayo (take me from darkness to light). Diwali is the darkest night of the year and the night when it is easiest to access the power of light. Light here does not refer to lighting lamps but to the internal light of gyan, which illuminates the being. Most people spend the day lighting lamps in front of Goddess Lakshmi for “getting more and more wealth” but the essence of Diwali lies in “give me wealth and detach me from it” because all that is physical is nashvar (temporary)... it (wealth) will go and when it goes it will give you immense pain. The more you have, the more the pain. Think about it. The things that give you immense pleasure are also the greatest source of your pain. Those who love sweets are the ones who usually become diabetic. Those who deceive you or cause hurt to you are not strangers but the ones who are the closest to you. The wealthiest are the ones who are most tensed towards the end of their loves, unable to part with all they have colle...

Detachment that frees one from pain

You come into this world alone. When you leave, you will go back alone. No one will accompany you, no matter how close they are to you. Pause for a minute and think; the majority of your problems stem from your near and dear ones. The smallest things regarding a close one affect you deeply. The root cause of all arguments, fights, emotional turmoil, congestions and business disputes, too, are these relationships. Hence it is safe to conclude that, for the greater part of our lives, you are troubled not by absolute strangers, but by people you know. All relationships are based on the basic principle of give and take. This is a payback of karmas from your previous births as well as from this lifetime. You get associated with some people because they need something from you and you need something in return. In the absence of this interdependence, the relationship will cease to exist. You remain caught in this cycle of give and take, lifetime after lifetime. You derive pleasure out o...

Secrets of creation

YOGI ASHWINI. The Vedic masters gave us the concept of poorna or complete. Everything in this creation is a complete whole. Anything that comes out of this creation is complete and anything that goes back is also complete. You are a poorna ansh of this creation. A cell is a poorna ansh of you. All of you existed as a single cell for thirty minutes of your life. It is this cell which divided and multiplied to form your being. Vedic rishis called it the anu. It is now established that the cell divides only a limited number of times, what is referred to as the Hayflick limit, every new cell being weaker than older one. It is this progressive weakening of the cells that is termed as ageing in the body. But, how can something that is infinite culminate into a finite lifespan? Mathematics tells us that infinity divided by infinity is also infinity…Herein lies the secret to agelessness. While medical science has reported this phenomenon in case of human germ line and cancer cells, for a yogi ...

Detachment Is Key To Life

by Yogi Ashwini We all know that we come in this world alone and go back alone. We will not be accompanied by anyone, no matter how close or dear we are to them, or they to us. Pause a minute and think: A majority of our problems stem from our near and dear ones. That is, relatives, immediate family, enemies and friends, not from someone unknown. You will also find that the rootcause of arguments, fights, emotional turmoil, congestions, broken relationships and business losses are also these very people. So it is safe to conclude that for the greater part of our lives we get troubled, not by absolute strangers but by people who are known to us. Your relationship with every individual is a result of one basic principle — as you sow so shall you get. It is a mere give and take. This give and take is a payback of our karma from our previous births and from this lifetime. You get associated with people because they need something from you and you need something from them too....
