Dhyana blocks mentations

                                    There is a lady who has been doing dhyana for quite some time. Everyday without fail she would write to me seeking my blessings, so that she can move ahead in dhyana. Recently, I got a mail from her asking if I could help her find a camera that got lost recently. Such emails, especially from those who have been long practicing, set me thinking. Why do people do dhyana ? Most of the people who come to me either want to pass an exam, some of them desire a better job or relationship and the rest have a heart trouble or a factory that is about to shut. I know this because I keep getting your emails and as I read them, I wonder if I am really a Yoga Guru or a consultant to whom people come for solutions to their various problems. LIFE IS AN EXPERIENCE

DON'T DIE, MERGE BACK INTO SOURCE

  It is a scary experience. The first reaction of the passengers usually is to grab their seats tight, some of them fasten their seat belts and some even put on the oxygen mask. But then, would it prevent the plane from crashing? Or would it save them in the event the plane crashes? No. You have boarded the plane and are now moving with the energy of it. The control over the plane is not in your hands, you are a mere passenger. No matter what your social status, how many assets and wealth you possess or how good you look, you cannot save the body or the physical assets. What should you do then, when you realise the plane is crashing? People tell me, will you pray for it not to crash? Maybe your prayers get answered and the plane does not crash that once. Take for example, the simple act of breathing. If you observe a baby breathing, you would notice a pronounced abdominal movement. The stomach inflates as it breathes in and deflates as it breathes out. To do or not to do

Yogi Ashwini points out the various ways by which the concept of power yoga is harmful to the body and lists the beneficial ones. Yog is a practical subject the results of practices are tangible and physical. These days one hears of yoga courses, which claim to make you fit and healthy through certain postures and breathing exercises directed at the physical. While one does feel good after doing such practices, their effects are limited to the physical body and do not touch upon the root of the problem. As a result, the ‘problem’ reappears in some other shape or form and once again one starts looking for a solution and more courses. What you lose in the process, is not the heaviness and negativity, but your bank balance.  Yog is not about twisting and turning your body or breathing abnormally, it does not tie you to any particular religion, ritual, lifestyle or diet.
