Sounds of the Soul

Everything in creation is a dhwani (sound), it is a frequency, a vibration. All our desires too are dhwanis of varying frequencies. Our shastras detail the science of mantras, dhwanis and frequencies through which you can change your desires, your body as well as environment. Om is an extremely subtle dhwani, also called pranav. When Om is chanted, the body vibrates from top to bottom. When you practice the various sadhnas under a guru, the effect is immediate, tangible and physical. The various sadhnas have the ability to manifest (vyakt) the unmanifest (avyakt). If you come to Dhyan Ashram, I will take you through the experience of this dhwani and the vibrations it creates within you. But to hold the subtler frequencies, it is important to increase the capacity of the body through practices detailed in Ashtang Yoga and Sanatan Kriya. Then you will come from avidya (unreality) to vidya (reality)—Om asato ma sadgamaya, tamso jyotir gamayo, mrityur ma amritam ga...

Peeling the layers of Creation

Each one of us has potential which is unlimited, it is just that we are so stuck in the web of maya which rises from our avidya and false desires that we are not prepared to let go of anything for a higher quest. We feel that this is all there is to life and nothing beyond. Even if we have knowledge of the existence of other dimensions, because of avidya we choose to ignore it. As there is hardl y any Guru available to remove this avidya, we take the help of TV channels and books to find solutions to problems which have arisen from our own avidya. The result is, we go deeper into the web of maya as most of the Gurus prescribe solutions by teaching strange kriyas and stranger techniques while our problems are the result of our own karma. This is in complete contrast to the law of karma and so the soul enters a downward spiral and takes birth in lower dimensions and levels of existences, which are more painful. It is like a whirlpool that sucks you in deeper and lower."

The futily of Vidya bought from spiritual quacks

Recently I got an email from someone seeking a meditation technique to help his situation. The gentleman had apparently learnt the sri vidya and some other vidyas (names of which, even I don’t know) from an avadhoot baba who conducts shivirs across the globe. I told him that he knew so much, he should be the one giving me lessons in yog; so how could I possibly help him? His reply was, ‘that is what the problem is. I have learnt the vidyas, but I do not know what to do now, how to prove myself…’ This gentleman is not an isolated case. There are so many across the world who are caught up in the buying and selling of myriad vidyas and kriyas in the hope of gaining name, fame, money, power, success or for the solution to a physical problem. There exists no kriya, vidya or upay  to solve your life’s problems. The only method lies in improving one’s karma. The law of karma states that whatever you give, comes back to you manifold. If you want to grow financially, start feeding th...
