Video | Why are we born?

We must not forget that we are all linked to each other through the five elements, through collective consciousness and through oneness of the divine. A clip from Yogiji's old interview on what is a human being? Why are we born? I get emails from people all across the world asking the reason for birth. One common denominator in all these emails is that everybody is in pain and are looking for that something more. Primarily there are two purposes to birth and they have not changed since creation began. First is to go through the experience. Experiences were created in the form of a physical body the physical creation and soul was sent to get that experience. Second is to go back to where you started from because with every new life, your experiences are getting grosser. As times progress, the experiences will get worse and the pain will increase. Only when we choose to go back and look for a guru will the pain begin to reduce. We must not forget that we are...

A GURU IS LIFETIME ENERGY

You, Your Desires And Rebirth

You are what you desire. You take birth because you desire an experience. Depending on your desires, you take up a body; not the body you see in the mirror but what extends beyond to include the five sheaths – annamaya or physical body, pranamaya or life-force, manomaya, vigyanmaya and anandmaya. An ordinary being desires only the physical and exists at the level of the annamaya which in turn is controlled by the prana. The soul stays in the body till there is prana in it. What we call as death, is when there is no prana left in the body and the soul leaves the body.     There are many who have survived near-death experiences… healers could revive them because there was some prana left in the body and the soul took shelter in that prana. Healers then replenished the pranic body and restored the person back to health. But once the soul leaves the body, it cannot be brought back.     The soul might leave the body, but is...

The full moon night of Holi

YOGI ASHWINI The entire creation is nothing but a manifestation of energy. Every object of creation, all lokas (dimensions of existence) and yugas (dimensions of time) exist in energy forms. Interestingly, life exists only on planet earth, and various dimensions, which exist as a part of the etheric world, can be experienced and accessed only from here. Our culture talks about the existence of thousands of gods and goddesses, so if the supreme god is one and formless, one does tend to ask what these forms called gods actually are. All the objects in the universe — sun, moon, planets, stars — are divine energies going through a process of transformation. All these bodies may seem like objects to us, but they are doing their karmas. Though Param Brahma is the actual source of energy, every aspect of the physical creation is looked after by an energy specifically programmed to control it. This explains the existence of demigods or different forms of god. The movements of the earth change ...

The True Meaning of Yoga and Sadhana

by YOGI ASHWINI JI The Times Of India The guru , through shaktipath, initiates a person on the path of sadhana. The process requires immense energy, which is transferred from guru to shishya. If this energy is channelised towards people who have no value for it, the energy dissipates. That is why it is said that knowledge or 'gyan' should not be distributed before people who don't value it. This can also be said for people who come to listen to a discourse not to imbibe gyan but to defy it. These people are not searching; they are ruled by ego. They are not interested in sadhana, are a drain on the energy of the initiator and are no good for the evolution of mankind (which is the purpose of shaktipath). The practice of yog has become a subject of social discussion. It is fashionable to proclaim, "I do yoga..." There are no dearth of people who, for selfish reasons, go around claiming to be yoga masters. What one needs to understand is that yog is not ty...

Journey of the soul

Soul is a unique pranic frequency. In unmanifested form it exists as part of Para Brahma, just as salt exists in ocean. Only when it desires a certain experience or a set of experiences does it choose to go through the cycle of karmas , birth and death. The basic reason or the root cause of the soul separating from the source is ego that recognises one’s existence as an individual. The ancients called it “asmita” , or “I”. This was the first step we took when we separated ourselves from the Divine Consciousness, which is Sukshma-iti-Sukshma , subtlest of the subtle, the unmanifested. Ego led the soul to realise that it is an individual and so came into existence the jeevatma . The individual consciousness combined with chitta forms jeevatma . Chitta or chetna is all pervading and resides in each one of us as buddhi . Buddhi is unlimited mind. It has the potential to become once again unlimited from the limited but it remains shadowed by manas the sheath, which blurs its vision, w...
