Secrets of creation

YOGI ASHWINI.

The Vedic masters gave us the concept of poorna or complete.

Everything in this creation is a complete whole. Anything that comes out of this creation is complete and anything that goes back is also complete. You are a poorna ansh of this creation. A cell is a poorna ansh of you. All of you existed as a single cell for thirty minutes of your life. It is this cell which divided and multiplied to form your being. Vedic rishis called it the anu. It is now established that the cell divides only a limited number of times, what is referred to as the Hayflick limit, every new cell being weaker than older one. It is this progressive weakening of the cells that is termed as ageing in the body. But, how can something that is infinite culminate into a finite lifespan?

Mathematics tells us that infinity divided by infinity is also infinity…Herein lies the secret to agelessness.

While medical science has reported this phenomenon in case of human germ line and cancer cells, for a yogi the phenomenon holds true for every cell. That is why yogis do not age until their last breath and that last breath too is decided at will. They do not die, but leave the body at will when their purpose in the physical world is fulfilled so that they may proceed to subtler dimensions.

The reason is that a yogi is able to access the core and harness the poornta of the cell. Charaka Samhita, while describing the being, mentions the avyakt or the unmanifested also as a constituent of the being. It is in the realisation of the unmanifested that the poornta of the cell, or being or creation can be experienced. A normal man can get access to these secrets provided he practices the right techniques Ashtanga Yoga and the practice of the Advanced Sanatan Kriya could help the reader know more.

Yogi Ashwini is an authority on the Vedic sciences and the author of Sanatan Kriya- The Ageless Dimension. He can be reached at dhyan @dhyanfoundation.com

MERGER OF SHIV AND SHAKTI

Shiv is the doer and may be likened to a vehicle. If you remove ‘i’ from Shiv, it becomes ‘shav’ (corpse). The ‘i’ represents Shakti, which is the fuel that energises this vehicle to perform action. Shakti is the force of the physical world. Shivratri is the night of merger of Shiv and Shakti making a complete whole. Shiv and Shakti pertain to manifest creation and arise from the unmanifest. The journey back to the unmanifest can be carved only through their complete merger which is the ultimate purpose of yoga and Sanatan Kriya . A practical example of merger of Shiv and Shakti is the institution of marriage where the merger of male and female leads to manifestation of a new life. If there is a mismatch in this merger of male and female, or Shiv and Shakti, the marriage remains incomplete. This imbalance is evident in the progeny who will exhibit anti-social and undesirable behaviour and traits. The rishis of yesteryear explained how incompleteness sets into the child in t...

Chakra Beej Kriya: Part 1

Yog is not about twisting and turning yourself into knots and complicated postures, yog taps into the power of consciousness. As you practice yog in totality, as prescribed, you start glowing and the immunity of the body heightens, slowly you begin to exude the glow of the sun. The body that we greet in the mirror everyday is run by a higher force, which is invisible to the naked eye but very clearly visible to a clairvoyant in the form of colours and to a clairaudient in the form of specific sounds. These colours and sounds correspond to certain energy centers in the body, which control and govern various body parts and functions. Much before you identify symptoms of a disease or ailment and decide to visit a doctor, these symptoms are perceived by a yogic practitioner in the form of change in colour, texture, size and sound of various chakras. Sanatan Kriya prescribes various techniques under the topic of self-healing to access this invisible sheath of the body and through...
