Removing Thought Pollution

Finding The Core

By YOGI ASHWINI The universe is constantly expanding; modern scientists validate this fact. In the beginning, you were a part of that param shakti. But as time moves on, as a result of this expansion, you are drifting away from it. With every passing moment, you are moving away from the place you came from. You are constantly going away from your core, your truth. This is evident if you take a look at the youth of today?weak eyesight, frail bodies, disease, lack of direction, addiction to machines and an artificial life. Just two or three generations ago, people had much stronger bodies. They did not take too many pills. Today, we have developed health supplements, we claim that quality of food has improved, various equipment and machines have been developed to keep one healthy, yet good health eludes us. Before the British conquest of India, there existed a local cure for smallpox in India. Imperialists who wanted to promote their vaccinations suppressed the use of this loc...

“I am more than just a physical being”

Published on: June 20, 2012 - 23:03 BY ARTI DAS | NT BUZZ Life becomes simpler and easier when you find a path to self discovery. For actor, Nikita Anand this path is the Sanatan Kriya that she has been following for quite some time and believes that it is one of the best things that has happened to her Actor and former Miss India, Nikita Anand is a content soul; much happier and calmer today. This is how she likes to define herself and this now active follower of Sanatan Kriya and Yog attributes all her success to her guru, Yogi Ashwini. She is here in Goa to promote Yogi Ashwini’s book on anti-ageing titled, ‘Sanatan Kriya, The Ageless Dimension.’ Nikita has been religiously following Sanatan Kriya for the last six years and it all started for her when she realised that by working out in a gym she was actually stressing her body. “There was a time when I used to work out every day and run 5 to 6 kilometres. But then I started developing lower back problems. That’...

Asanas and Exercises

Yogi Ashwini The principles of yoga were laid some millions of years ago. While everything in the world meets destruction and gets lost in oblivion, this ancient system has survived eons as this was very carefully passed on from the Guru to the shishya. So perfect is the science of yog that there is not a single asana which strains the 5th and the 6th vertebrae that under strain cause spinal injuries. On the contrary, injuries to the spine can successfully be cured by correct practices of yoga. Patanjali describes asana as ‘sukham sthiram asanam’, that is, a posture in which you are comfortable and still. Stillness and slowing down is the key to longevity. Modern fitness mantras lay a great emphasis on increasing body metabolism causing faster wear and tear of cells. Asanas do just the opposite , they lower down body’s metabolic rate and increase the strength and vitality of the body. Breath is a very important part of an asana and has to be regulated during holding of a po...

The Power of Stillness, Shanti

As you think, SO shall you Age!

Celestial sound that perfects all

Sound or dhwani  is said to have originated from the damru of Lord Shiva. Mata Adi Shakti manifested itself as the Trinity for the purpose of physical creation. The first corporeal manifestation on earth after the Trinity’ birth was in the form of sound. Om (Aum) was the first sound. It arose from the damru of Lord Shiva. Before sound (creation), there was eternal silence and absolute stillness. It was from here that the journey of an individual began. Therefore, sound can be termed as the first dimension perceived in physical creation. From sound emerges the dimension of colours; from colours emerges everything that we see in the physical creation, including our physical body. Sound has a deep and profound effect on our being. Whether we are able to immediately feel the effect or not depends on the kind of sound one interacts with. The roaring of a lion creates an environment of dread all around, whereas the call of a cuckoo or the song of a nightingale soothes...

Guru and his mandate

People often ask me, “Why can I not read all the books available and the vedas and evolve? Why do I need a guru? I cannot bow before another man." Such questions and emotions expressed so frequently make me think about the role of a guru. It is the result of good karma of all the previous lifetimes that the gate of a being’s good fortune opens and s/he meets a guru. As a rule, this never happens unless preceded by intense sadhana performed in the previous births. Moreover, very often it happens that even if a great saint, the very incarnation of Lord Shiva, appears in front of an unfortunate being, he is so blinded by ignorance or ego that he takes Him to be an ordinary person and starts judging Him with his limited senses. Whereas if someone has acquired good fortune through positive karma in previous births then love and single-minded devotion at the feet of the guru are his natural qualities — s/he would never lose the chance of meeting Him and recognising that i...

Aura in a World of Logic

The world of the spirit starts where logic ends. Though logic, in the modern world, is the ultimate test of reason and the pinnacle of intelligent thought, minds on a higher plane see logic as ‘lower intelligence’, limited by the boundary of reason which is further restricted by limitations of the individual’s buddhi. This probably explains why every school of spiritualism emphasises experience over analysis and also why the overtly questioning mind chatters incessantly only at the peripheries of the spirit-kingdom, seldom able to penetrate its core. However, since the current world understands only the tongue of logic, we shall try to understand the aura in this context. All bodies emit heat radiation or vibrations - this is a logical explanation of what auras are and why they are constant or changing. A lot of ‘scientific studies’ and ‘photographing’ of physical auras have been done in the West. It has been called the human atmosphere ‘force field’, ‘bio-energy’ and so on. T...

Mantras and Evolution

YOGI ASHWINI We are well aware of the 33 crore plus Gods that are a part of Vedic culture. Do they really exist or are they a figment of our imagination? A Dev is the energy responsible for a particular phenomenon of nature. As you progress in yogic practices (Sanatan Kriya), these energies are revealed to you. At Dhyan Ashram, people from diverse cultural and religious backgrounds have reported encountering these energies in dhyan, which is proof enough that they exist. Not only do they exist but they actually interact with you and aid your evolution process. Evolution is moving to a dimension that is higher than your current state. In the etheric world, it is moving from a grosser to a subtler dimension. With relation to your etheric double, it is moving from your basic chakra upwards. This upward movement happens through the etheric reflection of your spinal cord called the sushumna nadi. We know that a strong and supple spine is a prerequisite for yog. Modern science tells us th...

The power of the higher mind

Everything in creation is a unique frequency of prana (the universal force which translates in different frequencies to form all objects). The difference between a plant, an animal or a human — or even two humans — is due to the difference in the frequency of the pranic force vibrating in them. This is  why we enjoy the company of certain people and feel uncomfortable in the presence of some others. We relate to what exists within our pranic frequency and are unable to gel with those which are higher or lower.   Consciousness is the ability to manifest an individual’s pranic force as per his capacity. It unites with prana to shape all things existing in the universe. Consciousness makes you what you are in the physical world. Prana gives you your unique physical state, consciousness channelises your thoughts to take shape. Every thought is a potential manifestation. The level of consciousness of the person who is thinking is directly proportional to the ability of manif...
