The universe is full of various types of energies. One should learn to access these energies and realise the power within oneself, which is impossible without a guru, says Ashwini Yogi Ji.
He was in Chennai recently to deliver a series of talks on yoga sadhna to the general public, which was part of the services rendered by a charitable organisation — Dhyan Foundation, a spiritual organisation that conducts free camps for the underprivileged.
He said, “Everything; be it plants, animals, stones and human beings have energies and every energy has a purpose attached to it. Some people have got phenomenal energies, but they are unable to connect themselves to the supreme because of their limitations. One has to learn to attain as well as control these energies and use it in a productive way. The very realisation of this comes through yoga sadhna, which is impossible to get without the guidance of a guru.”
He added that the people who reached higher levels of these energies were the ones who faltered soon, if they did not obey their guru. He recalled incidences when he warned his students, regarding anything and they did not listen and faltered later. He said that when one went wrong due to ego or other limitations, they hardly realised that at that moment, they only do, when the damage was already done.
He, who is teaching yoga sadhna for over two decades, added that one should stay away from maya as that was the root cause of all problems.
Yogi Ji said that one was capable of making a lot of things happen and connect to god through yoga sadhna.
He shared another incident of a boy who saw himself as a girl in the medieval times during sadhna, indicating that he had reached his past life. Adding that the past life is not something different, he said, “It is a circle; one dies and comes back again. It actually never stops and so reaching the past life through sadhna is not difficult at all, although it may pose difficulties for the person.”
Talking about his books on anti-ageing, health, fitness, yoga, ego, he said that his advice to his followers was, “Take yoga seriously, leave your ego behind, maintain focus and follow your guru. These will lead you to your final destination.”
