Consciousness-Creates

What existed when there was nothing? How did plants, animals, land, water, space and trillions of galaxies come into being?
Consciousness manifested into the five elements forms all creation. It is everything that we see around us and also that which is yet to be manifested—the sum total of it all. We, too, are a part of the same consciousness and can manifest anything in creation by accessing it.

To give you an example of the play of consciousness, 30-35 years ago, a popular actor was fighting death lying in a hospital. The entire nation came together and willed his recovery, and he did. This happened as a result of its collective will. You might have noticed that many times you fear something and keep thinking that ‘this should not happen’ and your fear materialises. This is the act of consciousness. Instead if you think that ‘this is how it should happen’, then it will.
The science of yoga is based on tapping the phenomenal power of consciousness. It is through  this that saints and yogis are able to manifest the ethereal into the physical—the theory behind the efficacy of blessings and curses. Using consciousness Bhagirath brought the Ganga to earth and Vishwamitra created a parallel Universe. This power lies in each of us—the ability to manifest anything from nothing. However, while the thoughts of a yogi or saint manifest instantly, those of an ordinary being might take years and at times even a lifetime to manifest. This is because a yogi can access the consciousness in its subtler form while an ordinary being relates to it at the elemental level.
To access the subtler, it is important to still the five elements manifest in our body. Till the time one is tied to them, one would be unable to experience the root of consciousness. In Sanatan Kriya, one is introduced to the Paanch Mahaprana Dhyan to bring the elements in the body to a basic level of balance. As that happens, a practitioner’s ability of thought manifestation heightens. There are many Sanatan Kriya practitioners who have reported having changed their physical appearance and body structure without going to gyms or parlours or surgeons, merely by sitting with their eyes closed. To a lay person, this seems like an impossibility, but now you know it is only consciousness at play. Once the basic balance of elements is restored, the practitioner is introduced to the practice of Bhuta Shuddhi or elemental purification, which under the guidance of a guru has the effect of restoring the elements to their purest form. Once that happens, the being is called a tatva-gyani. Such a person can access consciousness in its purest state and even make devs and devis manifest in creation.
It is very important to understand here that the rishis and yogis sitting in the Himalayas are not escapees from the world. If that was the case, people from far and wide would not traverse arduous terrain to seek their blessings. They achieved what they had to in their material life and then went away to achieve something higher and greater. The ‘higher’ state cannot be explained to someone tied to the basic five elements or five senses. For that you need to access the sixth or the seventh sense, that unmanifested aspect of you which has to be manifested first. A human being has a total of 16 senses, which can be manifested with the power of consciousness, but only under the guidance of a Guru, who is hi mself not tied down the elements.
Yoga has to be practiced by you with patience. Watching somebody else doing it or doing it impatiently brings no results. An exception to the rule is the energy of the Guru. When you accept a Guru, through him or her it is possible to manifest your thoughts but then you have to find the Guru first.

MERGER OF SHIV AND SHAKTI

Shiv is the doer and may be likened to a vehicle. If you remove ‘i’ from Shiv, it becomes ‘shav’ (corpse). The ‘i’ represents Shakti, which is the fuel that energises this vehicle to perform action. Shakti is the force of the physical world. Shivratri is the night of merger of Shiv and Shakti making a complete whole. Shiv and Shakti pertain to manifest creation and arise from the unmanifest. The journey back to the unmanifest can be carved only through their complete merger which is the ultimate purpose of yoga and Sanatan Kriya . A practical example of merger of Shiv and Shakti is the institution of marriage where the merger of male and female leads to manifestation of a new life. If there is a mismatch in this merger of male and female, or Shiv and Shakti, the marriage remains incomplete. This imbalance is evident in the progeny who will exhibit anti-social and undesirable behaviour and traits. The rishis of yesteryear explained how incompleteness sets into the child in t...

Chakra Beej Kriya: Part 1

Yog is not about twisting and turning yourself into knots and complicated postures, yog taps into the power of consciousness. As you practice yog in totality, as prescribed, you start glowing and the immunity of the body heightens, slowly you begin to exude the glow of the sun. The body that we greet in the mirror everyday is run by a higher force, which is invisible to the naked eye but very clearly visible to a clairvoyant in the form of colours and to a clairaudient in the form of specific sounds. These colours and sounds correspond to certain energy centers in the body, which control and govern various body parts and functions. Much before you identify symptoms of a disease or ailment and decide to visit a doctor, these symptoms are perceived by a yogic practitioner in the form of change in colour, texture, size and sound of various chakras. Sanatan Kriya prescribes various techniques under the topic of self-healing to access this invisible sheath of the body and through...
