The Science of Colours

The physical body consists of five elements in various permutations and combinations. Sanatan Kriya says they are controlled by the dimension of colour. Everything in creation has a colour to it. Everything looks the way it does because it is in a state of balance, as it is vibrating at a specific frequency. Sanatan Kriya further details that if there is an imbalance in any of these colours or energy, the manifestation happens in colours, it further effects the object, which maybe the physical body that we are talking about in this case. That distortion is called a disease, also called imbalance in Ayurveda. To correct that imbalance, there are various powerful techniques given in Sanatan Kriya under the topic of self-healing. For example, if you have an upset stomach, the primary constituting colours of stomach are green and light saffron. By introducing the right shade of these colours into the stomach in the prescribed quantities, the stomach will automatically resume its normal ...

Yoga, ek tattva Nirantar abhyas

The mind and the physical brain control the human body. What is it that controls the brain and the mind? Definitely not the human body, otherwise it will become a vicious circle. The brain and the mind are controlled by the desire of the soul. What does a soul desire? Just close your eyes and see what is it that is going on inside the brain… give it two minutes. You will realize that there are so many thoughts that are running inside you…so many different things you want – children, family, spouse, business, and emotions. All these thoughts indicate to you the desire of the soul. And it is because of these thoughts or desires that you are unable to go beyond the human existence and you are unable to find peace and happiness in the human body. All that is physical is temporary and what is temporary is painful…hence the pain that you experience day-in-and-day-out in the pursuit of these desires. When the mind is engaged in thoughts of money, family, business, relationship etc, you canno...

The Science of Healing

Creation exists because it is in balance. The human body is a reflection of creation. It remains healthy and happy when the various forces or energies of creation are in a state of balance inside it. A diseased body is nothing but the result of an imbalance. This imbalance can be corrected through spiritual healing by ensuring that the root cause of the disease is removed without any damage to the physical body. Unlike most modern medical treatments that tend to suppress the disease or kill the diseased cells, spiritual healing transforms the cause of disease. Spiritual healing finds mention in the Atharvaveda, given by Rishi Angiras under the section of Yatu Vidya, where it has been explained in detail. Yatu stands for now and spiritual healing also happens with no time lag. It effectuates the healing from the dimension of colour. Creation is a composition of millions of shades and hues. Each shade is associated with specific attributes. Some are pleasant and soothing, some represe...

The Meaningful Colors of Creation

Let us understand the process of evolution in a human being. Our body consists of five elements, of which earth and ether elements are at the two extremes. When the earth element starts reducing and the ether element starts increasing, then a human being starts moving up the ladder of evolution. Valmiki transformed overnight from being a dacoit to a yogi, with a slight change in the ratio of elements. Let’s say the ratio of earth, water, fire, air and ether in a normal person is 5:4:3:2:1. If the earth element changes even slightly from five and the ether element increases just slightly, then the whole body of the person changes. When the earth element reduces then the effect of maya (attachments) also reduces. When the akash or ether element increases, you have the experience or realisation of what the creation is all about. You cannot understand the etheric world just by sitting and listening to discourses; to experience the etheric, it is necessary that the ratio of these eleme...

Guru's Divine Nectar

If you visit any of the “spiritual centres” in India today, you will find these “shops” selling innovative and, at times, unrecognizable forms of yoga and Vedic sciences. I recently visited one such place and was amazed to read the promises made on the boards that hung outside. The streets were filled with aspirants from all over the world who were eager to learn the ancient Vedic sciences and it was pitiable to see what we had to offer to them in return. The place I visited was the tapobhoomi of some great yogis and rishis, and their ashrams are still there. Right outside one such ashram there was a huge garbage dump where stray animals were feeding on plastic and toxins, saffron-clad men sat at the side of the road and struck deals with the tourists for a spiritual experience. If those evolved souls were to visit their own ashrams today, they sure would be relieved that they left long back... At the Maha Kumbh underway at Prayag, another spiritual centre where dro...

Quiet, Please...

When Creation happened, there was silence. Thereafter, sound got manifested, and from that sound, emerged all things physical. The sound was "AUM", also called the Brahmnaad. Recently, researchers at Sheffield University, UK, recorded the sound emitted by the Sun , and it was found to be the same as the brahmnaad described by Vedic seers. Every sound is energy unleashed and it contains the power to alter creation around you, including your own body. There are certain sounds that you can hear and certain others that are outside your audible range. Among the sounds that you can hear, some please you and some leave you disturbed. Nonetheless, all these sounds have a specific effect on your being; some of these effects you can perceive immediately, while others become evident later, depending upon the frequency of sound and the frequency at which you exist. Similarly, the same sound can generate different effects on different people, again depending upon their individual fr...

The Miraculous Effect of Colours

Physical creation, as we know, is a manifestation of prana in the form the five elements perceived through smell, taste, colour, touch and sound. In this series of articles we will delve into creation through the prana of colours, as experienced by the sense of sight, both physical and yogic (referred to as clairvoyance). In the shade card of a painter, you will see millions of hues and their shades and tints. Creation is no different. It is a palette of precise combinations of certain colours, their specific shades corresponding to specific shaktis that have specific roles to play. If you observe the sun, you will notice that it keeps changing colors through the day—gold, saffron, pink, orange, red, yellow, with each particular colour being visible only for a limited time span, as per the needs of creation. That is why the sun is called the source of all shakti (energy on this planet). As one progresses in yog, he or she is made to experience other colours and shaktis and also ...
