The Meaningful Colors of Creation

Let us understand the process of evolution in a human being. Our body consists of five elements, of which earth and ether elements are at the two extremes. When the earth element starts reducing and the ether element starts increasing, then a human being starts moving up the ladder of evolution. Valmiki transformed overnight from being a dacoit to a yogi, with a slight change in the ratio of elements. Let’s say the ratio of earth, water, fire, air and ether in a normal person is 5:4:3:2:1. If the earth element changes even slightly from five and the ether element increases just slightly, then the whole body of the person changes. When the earth element reduces then the effect of maya (attachments) also reduces. When the akash or ether element increases, you have the experience or realisation of what the creation is all about. You cannot understand the etheric world just by sitting and listening to discourses; to experience the etheric, it is necessary that the ratio of these elements change. And this change is visible to a clairvoyant as a change in the colours and shades of the various chakras that govern these elements.
In the last article, we had started discussing the nature and effect of certain colours on your being. Taking the discussion further, let us look at the colours red and saffron, both of which signify strength. The colour red signifies physical strength whereas saffron denotes spiritual strength. A painter can make saffron out of red by mixing a little yellow, but it is not possible to make red out of saffron. The colour saffron, like pink, is very limited in the creation because of its limited requirement. It is seen in the sun for about five minutes during sunrise and sunset. Any vaid would confirm that saffron, if consumed in excess, can result in death. Saffron is not poison, but it is so strong that a normal human body cannot take the energy of saffron. In fact, receptivity of every person towards different colours differs—the reason why not everyone can be given shaktipath, as not everyone can handle it. Just like saffron, excess of golden (the colour of guru’s shakti) can also have an adverse effect if the body is not prepared to receive it. Golden, blue, electric violet and white are the four colours which are used by gurus to give shaktipath. When shakti has to be channelised in a sadhak then s/he is introduced first to these four colours, given experience of these and once that experience happens, an awakening occurs automatically.
Another important colour is black. Unlike popular belief, black is not a negative colour, it is the colour of Mahakaal and Mahakaali. However, this colour is not touched upon in the preliminary stages of yog because this colour is such that if it goes into any of the chakras, it results in disease and at times death. For instance, a drop of black in red produces brown, and brown is indicative of disease. When a person comes under the influence of black magic, it is clairvoyantly seen as sprinkling of black droplets in the aura. Introduction of black colour in the chakras reduces their speed of rotation. When the chakra becomes completely black, it comes to a halt and this translates as death of the person. Black has to be handled very carefully because it opens doorways to both heaven and hell. In nature, the colour black is found at the bottom of the oceans.
Black energies are not bad but they are very easy to control, which is why they also find application in lower practices of black magic and occult. However, lower the practice, the weaker is its sphere of influence. A practitioner of Sanatan Kriya or a sadhak automatically develops a shield against these forces and remains unaffected by them.
As per Ayurveda, our food contains several rasas, ranging from 1 to 6, which render it nutritious. There are only two foods—black buck meat and mercury—that have all the six rasas, making them highly nutritious. Black buck is now extinct and killing of black buck is prohibited under law. Mercury is poisonous unless made into a bhasm, which is the most nutritious. (This bhasm needs to be prepared with utmost care as a slight deviation would make it fatal.)
So the next time you look at colours around you, know that each colour is there for a reason, it corresponds to a particular energy and generates a specific effect on you.

MERGER OF SHIV AND SHAKTI

Shiv is the doer and may be likened to a vehicle. If you remove ‘i’ from Shiv, it becomes ‘shav’ (corpse). The ‘i’ represents Shakti, which is the fuel that energises this vehicle to perform action. Shakti is the force of the physical world. Shivratri is the night of merger of Shiv and Shakti making a complete whole. Shiv and Shakti pertain to manifest creation and arise from the unmanifest. The journey back to the unmanifest can be carved only through their complete merger which is the ultimate purpose of yoga and Sanatan Kriya . A practical example of merger of Shiv and Shakti is the institution of marriage where the merger of male and female leads to manifestation of a new life. If there is a mismatch in this merger of male and female, or Shiv and Shakti, the marriage remains incomplete. This imbalance is evident in the progeny who will exhibit anti-social and undesirable behaviour and traits. The rishis of yesteryear explained how incompleteness sets into the child in t...

Chakra Beej Kriya: Part 1

Yog is not about twisting and turning yourself into knots and complicated postures, yog taps into the power of consciousness. As you practice yog in totality, as prescribed, you start glowing and the immunity of the body heightens, slowly you begin to exude the glow of the sun. The body that we greet in the mirror everyday is run by a higher force, which is invisible to the naked eye but very clearly visible to a clairvoyant in the form of colours and to a clairaudient in the form of specific sounds. These colours and sounds correspond to certain energy centers in the body, which control and govern various body parts and functions. Much before you identify symptoms of a disease or ailment and decide to visit a doctor, these symptoms are perceived by a yogic practitioner in the form of change in colour, texture, size and sound of various chakras. Sanatan Kriya prescribes various techniques under the topic of self-healing to access this invisible sheath of the body and through...
